I tried to find a HIN decoder online but had no luck, I would give an Arctic Cat dealer a call, they shoul be able to tell you all the details about your ski from that number.

the crank diameter is the same, just unscrew couplings and switch them

Are these both the same size motors just diffent years?

Both 640 motors. I had just read that the crank size changed in '97 so the '93 - '96 were no longer directly interchangeable. I can't find the link where I saw that now. I'll post it if I spot it again.
