I was given a 1995 Tigershark Montego by a family member. He stated that the last time they ran it they were pulling up to the bank of the river and it just died can't get it to start. He told me I could have it, should be nothing more than a carb problem. he managed to get it to run but with the choke on. I towed it home (300 miles away) and began the process of looking it over. I checked spark, good. I checked to see that it was getting fuel and oil, both fine. Next was the compression test, the back cylinder was fine, but the front one was low. so I pulled the carb and intake off knowing I was going to have to rebuild it. To my horror parts of the needle bearings on the connecting rod were behind the reed valve of the front cylinder. After disassembling the engine I found the case has a hole in it, part of the needles on the rod had fallen out and the rings are broken on cyl 1. To my amazement the piston is fine, the cylinders are fine. That being said I either need to find an engine. Or I need a crank case, crank and rods, and piston rings.

Anyone have some spare parts laying around. I plan to start on this in a few weeks when my taxes come in.
