Default Water in motor

I was running water through the motor to check a water plug repair after letting it flow for about ten min. With no leak tried to start the motor it tried to turn over a little then stopped cranking so I pulled the plugs and looked in the holes a found water in the center cyl. Cranked motor with plugs out and water shoot out of the cyl. So I pulled the top caps of to find the inner o ring on the center cyl was broken. My question is how likely is it that water got to the crank case? And if it is probable then how do you go about checking and removing it?

water in the cylinders means water in the case. Anytime you want to run water through the cooling system you must first start the engine or the water that's pumped into the muffler will travel the exhaust to the engine.

flip the ski over with the spark plugs out and let it drain.

then turn the motor over a half a turn and let it drain

repeat until not anymore water comes out.

run for at least ten minutes.

Won't the gas and oil also pour out if the ski is flipped over

I don't know about the gas and oil leaking out, but the alternative is what I did when I filled the crank with water. That is to pull the jugs off and spend a bunch of time with an air compressor and a spray nozzle to blow the water out of the crankcase, then reassemble it. I don't know how easy it is to flip the skis over with the engine in them, so it may be the same amount of hassle.

ski's are designed to be flipped over. ever notice how they all have a sticker on the back that tells you how to right it? it shouldn't leak, if it does something must be wrong. all the vents to the tank are inside and have check valves. That being said the carb(s) might leak some fuel.

you should do it as soon as possible.

every minute longer you wait there is rust forming on ur pistons crank and crank bearings.
