I have a tigershark that the starter will spin but will not ingage the motor. there is a starter bendix that might be the probilem but i dont know. if so how do i get it out to replace it?

I have the same exact problem in my 98 ts1000r did you figure out how to fix it? I'm bringing mine to a mechanic to have the bendix replaced this week.

how do you get to the bendix? i cannot get the flywheel cover off without having to remove the entire engine...
