96 640 Monte No Spark
Bought this one with no spark....
All coils read ohms in spec. Good Plug caps & new resistor plugs.
Swapped flywheel because it was rusted about 1/3 the way up. Wire brushed the stator laminations & trigger face because of corrosion. Swapped the CDI, confirmed all connections & grounds. Cranking with the plugs out (& grounded) measure 6 volts output on the Battery/Lighting coil, 90 volts on the Charge coil. Not sure how to test the Trigger Coil other than ohms. Get a new stator ? or a third CDI ?
