Default 1100r suddenly seized

was rideing areound the couple hours....running good. stopped for 15 min...then girlfriend takes it out...makes it about 10 min and is stops. Starter clicks and tries to turn over the engine but it cant. New battery too. seems like it seized up. There is nothing in the pump...and I took heads off two cylinders last night...and they are clean and smooth, no apparent engine damage there. IF you keep pushing the starter button the it slowly moved the pistons but less than a 32nd of an inch with each push. Is there a bearing in the drive line that could be seized up. I would like to explore all options before tearing into the engine much further. thanks for any insight, or past experineces.
