Default Tigershark Daytona 770 starter does not disengage

Hi!

Anybody has an idea how to fix it? The boat was stored for a few years. It starts ok but starter does not disengage well. I presume there is a spring and the part might be slightly stacked. Hitting it with hammer might solve the problem. The question for $100 is where to hit it?

Do you know about any manuals available for this jet ski?

Any good jetski shop in Orlando or Melbourne FL?

Thanks in advance,
Edwin

I have the service manual for a monte carlo 770 and 1000, from what I see the only cause is the starter pinion gear is sticking, you can try to remove the starter motor and spray some wd40 on the pinion gear and see if that helps, other than that you will need to remove the gear and clean or replace it.
