ok the motor part of the driveshaft has no play with the drive shaft back in and evrything put back together if i move the shaft left and right i hear the noise coming from the back

is there anyway to test the jet pump? or see if its bad

how did the pump go back in did you have to force or move the driveshaft to install the prop back into the wear ring?

went in pretty easy had to wiggle the drive shaft a little

what is the jet pump did it come off with the 4 bolts

jet pump is the housing where the prop is.. now look at the prop is it hitting the wear ring?

it didnt look like it but there is some marks on the wear ring like swirl marks

ok you said with the pump removed and the driveshaft removed the motor was making the sound?

no when all that stuff was removed the motor sounded fine when its all back together it makes that sound

i really do think that your prop is hitting the wear ring... see if you can shake your motor by hand like see if you can moe your motor up and down and side to side.
