Default should I buy?

I'm looking at a 1999 Tigershark TS1100 LI that appears to be in mint condition. They are currently asking $3500 with the trailer included.

A couple concerns:

1. It seems like everyone is saying to run as far away as i can from the Tigershark products...

2. NADA pricing for average selling price is 2000k for that model. Granted, I live in Minnesota where these things are snatched up quickly...but still.

Anyone have thoughts? Since parts seem to be impossible to find, am I being foolish to look at this? thanks!

I think you have answered your own question. That thing would have to be a gift for you to take. Suzuki motor in Aritc Cat's great Idea of a jet ski.

Actually $1,500 is more like it. That is including $300 for the trailer.

Keep in mind most shops won't work on TigerShark or Polaris, so are you able to wrench on it yourself if something goes bad? That is if you can even find parts for it? I would suggest looking for a SeaDoo or Yamaha. You can get a nice machine for $3,500.
