Default js400 taken out 6times this year!

Hello,
New to forum here, proud owner of a vintage 1976 js400. I rode a sit down jet ski years ago and excited about getting this going.

If someone can answer and help me out on a few things to get this classic going.

The fuel pumps to carb, doesn't go into engine, any suggestions?
CAN someone please tell me the fuel line connections(3) from fuel tank cap to where.
Someone added a K & N adaptor for a 2 3/4" 59-2000 kn filter, should I bother keeping, does it add a horsepower or two??
Should I replace fuel lines w/ clear ones?
Is there such a thing as a aluminum fold up jet ski trailer to to this thing w/ a truck?

The original air cleaner had a fire baffle, did this help keep water out if engine, should I return air cleaner back to OEM?
IS there a place that has donor units parts for such things as the OEM black air cleaner.
What is an exhaust plug?
Is there a way to read vin to figure out serial #???
WHAT is the best way to winterize such a piece of equipment to avoid problems when Spring rolls around

INPUT please!!! posts or PMs too!!
Thanks

Default Took this vintage rig out 6 times this year

This js400 has upgraded egine(550) and parts from performance jet ski inc. Are they out of business? even the impeller is upgraded. I'm guessing the max speed of this rig to be about 35 to 40 mph! Not bad for the first rig.

My son really enjoys riding this along with his wife. It's great to do something w/ the family I enjoy on a beautiful day.He got the hang of it and rarely falls --now schooled as he did wake boarding before. Went out 6 times this year, a solid 20 to 25 hours time running it. Good oil designed for jet ski along w/ super gas seems to help.

I finally replace the hood seal which was dated and flattened, tweaked on the mini hood seal, wrapped around on the hood. Next year the rig will be totally watertight as should be. I'm going to keep the original color and graphics since most of theses are modified w/ a poorly done hack paint job. Yellow is one of the original sport colors( this shade as bright as the sun). They still make towable tubes, tow ropes, wake board handles in yellow and black.

Everyone knowing these skis and seeing this color and style knows it's the first mass produced ski originally. There's someone that reproduces vinyle graphics for it. I will reply w/ correct color code if someone wants to do a restore on their js400. A keeper for sure since done for perfomance.
