Default Can I swap js440 motor to a 300SX?

I just bought a js440 not sure what year and a 87 300sx. I was hoping to swap the motors because the 300 needs more work. Has anyone swapped? If anyone needs parts or has some let me know.

i think it ought to fit but i've never looked into that swap. You'll have to swap ignition boxes and stuff too since you'll be plus 1 cylinder.

I have dreams of dropping a 750 into a 440/550 hull one day.

I also just bought a 87 300sx I pulled the motor last night. I am a little worried that 87 300sx hull does not have the motor mount capability to run the twin cyl. I also have a 86 js300. I put a 440 in it this spring. It had the places for the motor mounts in the hull for the twin cyl. I have been looking All over the net for a pic of the 550sx motor plate. but all i see looks just like the motor plate for 550js. So take a close look at the hull. U might have the same prob I have.

Well, I sold them a while ago. Didn't have time or money to fix them.
