Default 650 Pump

Hi,

Quick question,

Ive been out on my friends 650 sx today, totally standard.

His feels a lot quicker than mine on the initial acceleration and top speed.

He has a standard impeller same as mine, what else can cause his to be quicker.

Engines are the same, but when i throttle mine the engine revs but the drive just is not as good.

Please can someone advise me on anything im missing out here?

Thanks

Your pump may just be more worn that his. Check the clearance between the outer edge or the impeller and the pump housing. You may need a new wear ring if you have too much clearance
