Default cdi question - 92' wr500 and 650

Hey new to the forum. I have one 89' wr500 and 92' wr500 yamaha waverunners and they run great. Had a chance to pick up a third one for 150.00 cash this week. It's a 89' wr650 but the cdi is completely torn apart. I was wondering if my 92' or 89' wr500 cdi will work? I would love to get a faster ski on the water. However, don't want to fry a good cdi just to see if the 650 will even start? Any advice? Again, here in dallas I have purchased all three skis for under 600 total and two work awesome. So I can always hunt another spare 650 cdi and go that route. Thanks in advance, Matt
