Question Kawasaki js440 not turning over

Just bought two kawasaki js440 jet skies... I am in the process of replacing all the hoses and water lines, spark plugs and batteries... I finsihed overhauling one ski and tried to start it. The ski turneover for about three seconds then stopped and has not turned over since. I put a new carb kit on, check the hoses and saw there was fuel getting to the carb. I have ngk br8es plugs in them. The manuel says to use ngk plugs br7es but was told to use the 8's...could that be my problem?

I am new at this and any help would be much appreciated!

Im no expert, but it sounds like a piston may have seized. This could have happened if the cylinder wall got a tiny bit of rust when it sat unused. I sure hope thats not the problem.
