Default 1992 kawasaki 750ss Help

I have just bought a 1992 kawasaki 750ss and was looking it over and there is a small almost like a dipstick handle but it just twists off and i opened it and there was nothing in there. I was just wondering if there is supposed to be oil or something in there and what it is and what its for. I cant seem to find the answer anywhere manuals internet or forum posts. Thanks in advance!

If it what I think your talking about it is a cap underneath it is the Stator and flywheel and no do not put any oil in there. There have been times when I have sprayed a little WD 40 in there but that is do combat moisture,
