Question 1980's to early 1990's Yamaha Wavrunner opinions?

Hi all,

I'm considering the purchase of a jetski and find the older Wave runners to be within my price range. I have heard that older ski's tend to porpoise a bit, and want to make sure I get one that doesn't. Ride quality is of concern as well.

Would the 1987-1993 Wave runner be a good choice for a first ski?

I've been boating all my life in various boats, so I am familiar with the marine environment.

Any feedback on this model would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Dustin

Very insightful. Is there any specific model of sea doo to look for?
