Default GP800 Fouling plugs

Just picked up a 2000 GP800 with 58 hours on it. Guy said it's been fouling plugs every few hours. I put new plugs in and went out for a run. Sure enough after about a hour to a hour and a half the plugs fouled. Put new ones in again and it worked great again. I have a feeling that the carbs need cleaning and it will need the gas syphoned and new gas put in. Any suggestions?

Have a look see at the oiler cable. It may be stuck wideopen or adjusted wrong.
