Default vx algae below the water line

So... I may have left my VX floating in the warm lake water for about 2 weeks. It got a pretty good layer of algae below the water line.

- the ski lost about 5mph top end. This is verified on GPS.

I expect much of the speed loss is from the dirty hull. If you have any cleaning tips, I'm all ears.

I also think some of the speed loss must be from a dirty impeller. Is there any way to clean it up?

Pressure washing the waverunner will get off all of the thick stuff. any staining that remains can be remove by spraying a solution of 20% muratic acid to 80% water on it. Let it soak in for 20 minutes or so then wash with soap and water. Be sure to wear personal protective gear when working with chemicals of this nature.

Thanks for the advice. Are you suggesting I pressure wash the impeller? Is it okay to spray water up there?
