Default GP1200 yamaha 1997 leaking water inside.

I'm going to look at a GP1200 he says its' just the exhaust gasket, that you can ride for about 10 min, he said the gaskets are $90.00, and it should only take one hour to do it. just wanting to know if this is comon,?? how can I look at it and make sure its not messed anything up, or it's somthing else,?? I do'nt need a bad jetski,

Thanks for any help

If its leaking around the manifold it could be a major problem, and its not common. If you could take a photo of where the leak is, it will be easier to determine fix-ability, but my advice is not to buy a ski that needs any type of repair...........its usually an indication of deeper problems.

Default gp1200

he said its leaking bye the exhaust manifold, the gasket between the cylinder and the outer one, right next to it, it looks like there are 12 bolts holding it on,I know it could mean it's cracked, so thanks, maybee I'll just wait and find a beeter ski,

You may be able to get a great deal on a thumper of a pwc. For a few bucks you can have a mech. check it. Bottom line you can buy a perfect ski and use it one time before problems occur, unless you buy new.

Deffo, think you would be better off to look for another, as potentially other issues which only puts you right off when you discover them and have to fork out on repairs soon after buying

Good Luck
