Exclamation Getting ready to buy need suggestions

Hi everyone I'm new here... I'm getting ready to purchase a 2008 FX HO and a 2008 110 VX Cruiser. I've got Yamaha ATV's and I'm all for Yamaha but need help on what I should pay. They are advertised for 10K for both, is this a good deal? Please tell me what you think and what issue's I should go out and look for whether they be year specific for even jet ski specific. I'm new to jet ski's and would like to learn everything I can.

Thank you very much

EDIT: Forgot to add they both have under 100 hours.

Sounds like a decent price. Just bought a 2007 VX cruiser with 27 hours for $5k. Does they have a trailer?

I would agree, seems like a reasonable price, even though in my opinion maybe a touch much, but obviously depends on how well they have been looked after and serviced. The 2008 FX is a great strong robust Ski, much preferred over the VX.

Good Luck

Thats a good deal if the skis check out OK. The 08 FX HO has the nanoxcel hull and generally sells used for around $7500+ with a trailer. The VX cruiser is also nice and has the more comfortable seats, reboarding step, etc., and typically sells used for $5000-$6000+ with a trailer by itself.

Both are super reliable. The FX HO will run around 6-7 mph faster than the VX, and the FX HO will give a more stable and dryer ride especially in rough water. The VX will get great gas mileage (best of any ski on the market), but is somewhat sporty = bouncy and wet ride. If you are buying for yourself and wife, the wife may not be happy on the VX (mine isn't).

Look for signs of corrosion (especially if the skis were used in salt water). Take a flashlight and really look inside and out. Look at the prop for dings and nicks. Take a test ride or you may be sorry later on. The VX should hit 8000 rpms at around 52 mph and the FX HO should hit 10000 rpms at around 59 mph. If the skis meet those numbers on the water, you are about 99% assured you have good skis, and there is no need for compression checks etc..
