Question Help on the oil pump gear on VX1100 engine

Hi guys... thanks in advanced for your help.
I bought a VX cruiser 1100 with a complete disassembled engine.
Now its running perfectly after i changed few parts and assembled it back.
There is only one thing that keeps me wake.... When I was assembling the engine, on the oil pump there is the drive gear (6B6-13360-00-00) . One side goes inside the oil pump and turns it... the other side that is my problem! I looked everywhere and didnīt find anything showing that there was one guide pin between the driver gear and the lower crankcase. I assembled with no pin between the gear and the crankcase.... and since i bought it disassembled and missing few parts i dont know if there should be some kind of pin going inside the gear and inside the crankcase..... even on the parts diagram i didn't find, but also there is not a good view of the crankcase in this angle.

I would be glad if someone that already disassembled this engine clarify this to me !And if there is, please could you tell me the part numer ?
thanks a lot

Thanks a lot

The slot in the end of the gear goes over a projection on the oil pump shaft. You are supposed to align the two parts when you assemble the oil pump. Page 5-23 in the service manual. I can post the diagram if you need it.

Ernest, thanks for the help but actually what i asked was about the right side of the gear in the picture that i posted ... the right side of the gear, in the picture has a " hole" as if there should be a guide pin inside but i could not find on the service manual this guide pin, the only thing that keeps it in place is the drive shaft of the gear(left side of the picture) that goes inside the oil pump... Do you understand what i meant ? Thanks

Sorry man. I've got no idea about the other end. Could it just be a raised "bump" or projection that is cast into the housing that keeps it in place? You are right, nothing in the manual. If I find the answer I'll post back. Probably nothing to worry about if it's running OK.
