Hey man, I really like the white/black color scheme on your cruiser.......That is a very nice looking ski, and it looks like you keep it very clean. Yours is the first I've seen with that color scheme. I think they only did it in 2010.
Anyhow, I'm amazed that skis last more than a season or 2 without any flushing if they are run in salt water.
Personally I think you should flush the ski with fresh water after every ride in salt water......NO EXCEPTIONS. Also wash off the exterior of the engine and ski with fresh water. Then use a salt removal product at least once every month or so internally and externally. Some of the products claim they are safe and you can use them after each salt water use, but that could get expensive.
Here in the States there are many options Salt-Away, SaltX, Salt Terminator, and Salt-Off are just a few of the products that I've seen at local marine stores. I think that Salt-Away does the most advertising and have been around a long time, that is why it is so popular. I know they all work to help remove salt deposit build up inside and outside the engine. I don't know that one product is any better than another, but Salt-Away does claim that it is safe to leave inside the engine, and also safe for metals, rubber, and plastic. I don't know if this is true of the other products or not. It does definitely work to remove the salt.
Pretty much all these products contain a mild acid and some type of detergent that helps them to wet the surfaces and break down the salt. Some of them also contain an anti-corrosive to help protect metal parts. Many of my boater friends swear by plan old vinegar, and they say it works just as well as the more expensive salt removal products. I've never tried just vinegar myself, so I don't know, but that is certainly an option for you if you are unable to get the other products (I would definitely not leave vinegar inside the engine though).
Hope this helps!
