Default Outer exhaust joint, replace or fix it.

Hi,
I am a newbie to the jetskis but decided to get my hands dirty and bought 2004 FX HO Cruiser with a bad engine. It turned out to be that the engine is not repairable so I bought complete engine block from 2006.

I was attaching original exhaust to the "new" engine, and noticed that "outer exhaust joint" (as per service manual) has corrosion on the flange where seal exhaust (pn 60E-14642-00) goes. The corrosion is from the salt water and it was leaking as there are salt spots on the joint and exhaust parts below the joint.
The original seal was torn when I removed it from the joint.
I am concerned about this corrosion and think whether it can be repaired with JB Weld or applying silicone will be enough?
Or should I buy a used "joint" with healthy flanges?
How much pressure the water creates travelling through the outer joint?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
