GP1800 VS FX SVHO (rough water?)

Getting ready to purchase, and have it narrowed down to these two. Now from the specs it looks like GP is 8.3 inches shorter in length, and 64lbs lighter. How do these two stack up in rough-moderate chop? Is the FX worth the extra 2k? What are the benefits of the FX? Ride quality and handling are important, but if there both about the same il stick with gp1800. Would like to hear from actual owners.

I'm also looking at these two models. Any input?
