Default rubber box on bottom of engine...is it supposed to be loose?

hey i was trying to track down an oil leak, and i rached my hand under the engine and felt this rubber box thing that seems to be loose. does anyone know what this is and if it its supposed to be loose? 1999 yamaha gp1200. any help would be appreciated. thanks

yes it is supose to be lose.it acts as a stopper.has nothing to do with the oil.i have a 97 gp1200 and notice the same thing.Spoke with my local dealer and they said no worries thats the way its supose to be.
