Question 1995 yamaha waveraider problem?

I've run into a problem I can't seem to fix.

I have a 1995 yamaha waveraider 1100 which up till acouple weeks ago has run great for acouple years now.

When I first drop in the water the ski will run perfectly for about 30 mins to an hour of hard none stop ridding then only under full throttle it will start to spit and sputter but only under full throttle. If u ride half throttle it runs perfectly. When I say spit and sputter that's about the best I can describe it it seems like a loss of power n it will slow up then speed up n back n forth. It to me seems like a fuel problem but I'm not positive.

Last week I checked compression which I believe was 120 across all three cylinders. I also replaced the plugs n fuel filter n removed fuel lines n blew air through almost all of them. No blocks I could find. Ok i did all this n refilled up all fluids n went back out yesterday. Same issues after about 30 o one hour of ridding.

Any ideas here? Carbs? Electrical? Any ideas would be great

thanks
Jason

Whens the last time the carb was rebuilt? Sounds like a carb problem (dirty, bad springs, etc..). I'd rebuild the carb as a 1st step (or carbs. if this is the triple version).

Question

i just removed the carbs and i am going to rebuild them in the next week or so cuz i believe that is the problem as well... question when i put the carbs back on do i need to bleed the oil pump or anything??? I still have the oil injector installed and all i did was remove the oil lines that come off the pump and go to the carbs so do i need to bleed that or is that only if you remove the lines from the oil tank to the oil pump???

thanks

I don't think there is a need to bleed the lines, but maybe someone else that has that model can tell you for sure. Might be a good time to check and replace the oil lines and clamps if they haven't been replaced in a while.
