Default Compression problem?

I have a yamaha 701cc motor in a mastercraft jet ski i just bought. This jet ski starts up, idles, and revs really well. I used a compression tester on both cylinders and I am getting a 60 psi reading from both cylinders. Is this possible? I tried two gauges with the same results... the gauges are those crappy ones that auto zone lends out... Should i worry if it starts up well and runs good? i havent tried it on the water yet. Thanks. Aaron

p.s. It is a two stroke, maybe that could be a reason for getting a false reading on the gauge?
