Default Xlt 1200

Howdy everyone. I have a 2001 XLT 1200 bought it new in 2001. Starting to have some problems and could use some guidance.
First I was wondering where I could get either a shop manual or a maintenance manual for it.
Went to the lake and just would not stay running and at times would not start. As soon as I put it in the water. I changed the plugs put new gas in it and got it to run but would not accelerated above 30 mph. Took it home and performed a compression check and came up with 100, 110, 100 when I pulled the plugs the cylinders with the 100 psi were oil saturated and the one with 110 was clean. Also used over 3/4 of a tank of gas in a period of 3/4 to hour of run time. I have read that I should plug off the oil injector and pre-mix the gas, is that pretty common. Also if I have to go into the motor suggestions on any upgrades that I may do to enhance performance. Any advice, suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.

I would not go back to the seventies in technology by pre-mixing gas and oil. The whole idea behind oil injection is that it meters the oil to different ratios at different rpms because at lower rpms you need less oil. At wide open throttle you need the most oil. So by pre-mixing you are only at the right ratio at WOT. The rest of the time you are rich especially at idle speeds. The ratio for idle speed is about 100:1. So by runnin 50:1 pre-mix you are double the oil, YIKES fouled plugs, gummed up carbs, waste of money on extra oil and lugging oil around. If any thing fix the oil injection but it probably isn't broken. MTL the oil lines need replaced.

As far as the Yamaha advice check out Ernest T. he is the Yammie guru.
