Default 01 XLT 1200 Carb Rebuild

Hey there guys hoping to get a little help. Little back round, lost a cylinder on my ski so while in the process of getting the jugs bored and head milled I am going to go through my carbs and clean, adjust, replace parts as needed (cylinder was running way to lean guessing cause of engine failure). So my questions is now that I have the carbs out and on my bench how do you tear these things down? Is it possible to separate them from the mounting plate or do you have to get in there with a 90 screwdriver and take the covers off that way? I have been rebuilding carbs for years now and have never seen anything like this. Anyone with advise or if a manual will work a link to one would be great! Thanks in advance. BTW it is a 2001 Yamaha XLT 1200 with a riva stage 2 kit.

Default re carb

i have done a few of the 1200 dont remember having trouble sep the carbs mabe they changed some thing i bought the man right from yamaha its a good one but you can go on line to what ever carbs muniki i guess and you can find pictures and specs also you might want to check if you still have the cat in the exhaust if you do take it out theres a plate you replace it with and a chip to put in the circut this one of the reasons the no 3 cyl leans out of course there are other reasons too one other thing not useing yama lube causes carbon build up in the cat if you take the cat out you can use anybodys oil go on line and check this out for your self hope this helps???

This chip you talk about in no. 3 what exactly is that? The no. 3 cylinder is the one i lost on the ski do to a leaning out condition. Got the carbs seperated and rebuild but a little more info bout this chip could save me a lot of headache. Hope you can help. Thanks again!
