Default First PWCs, looking for direction/where to start

I just recently acquired a couple Yamahas from my boss.

1997 Waverunner GP760
1997 Waveraider 700

Both units have had hardly an use, but have been sitting for a couple of years (with gas/oil in them). As far as he knows there wasn't anything wrong with them, other than sitting.

After cleaning the outside, where do I start with the inside? Drain fuel, change oil and try to start; or what do I need to look for and pay attention to first?

Also, does anyone know where I could get a service manual for these models?

Thanks in advance
Jonathan

I'd clean/rebuild the carbs. They are probably all varnished up with fuel sitting in them. Definitely drain the fuel. Get new fuel filters, look for cracked fuel and oil lines. Do a compression check to give you a base line for when things go bad down the road. Clean or replace the spark plugs.

I may have a service manual for the GP760, but I don't know what year. PM me your email and I'll post it for download.
