Default GP800r '01 Help!

Hello,

Starting to run into my fair share of issues with my ski, but it's teaching it me a lot. I'd like to try and fix this one on my own without taking it to a buddies house this time.

I took the ski out yesterday and she was running fine all day. I let our friend take it out with her kid and they were gone for about 45 minutes. They come back and just off shore the ski dies.

I went out there with the other ski, tried to start it up, she wouldn't fire up. Wasn't sure what to think so I towed it back in.

What my friend told me was that they were riding and went over a seaweed patch. The jet ski died then and they got off the ski and pulled the seaweed out of the intake. After that she said it started up just fine. She continued on the ski at normal speed upriver about 1 mile to where I was with the rest of the party. Then from what she says as she slowed down, the ski just completely shut off and she could not get it to start again.

After all this I was curious and just took out the spark plugs this morning. The spark plugs were definitely wet, but they were also fouled really bad. I had just replaced the spark plugs about 3 weeks ago and only used the skis 3x since then. I would think I should get a little more mileage out of these sparks.

1.) If seaweed was caught in the intake, why did it run well for a mile, then die when the ski slowed down?
2.) If it was the spark plugs why would it just all of a sudden die?
3.) What type of issues am I looking at with cleaning the lines out?

Would really appreciate any help. Really trying to learn about these things and your answers help out alot!
