What do I have to do or buy to be able to rin this on the trailer?

If it's like the GPs and later Yamahas, you'll need one of these:

You can get them online from Yamaha, Ebay, or your local dealer. Hook it up, turn engine on first, then the water just a crack (not full blast.) When you're ready to quit. Turn water off first then engine.

Thanks Yamadoo How long can I run it while "on the hose" I am guessing that I will need to be cautious about the RPM since the pump will not be creating any load on the engine.

Don't go more than 3 or 4 minutes on the hose because even though the engine is getting cooled, the wear ring is not. Don't go above 4k RPM.
