Default New Owner - 03 FX140

Hi All,

I am a new owner of an 03 FX 140. On our first day at the lake trying it out, after about an hour we started getting the overheat light and sound. The engine seemed governed to only go at a certain rpm. The pump was still working. I am going to take the plate off the bottom inlet to check for debris but is there any other advice? I did the code test and it is a 15. Also, if anyone has access to a pdf service manual, I'd be much appreciative. I've had no luck finding one that wasn't a book to order.

Thanks

Are you getting water out of the port side overflow while the engine is running?

Most common cause for an overheat on this ski is debris stopped up at the thermostat. You can pull the thermostat and clean it. I have a service manual for an 02 FX. If you want it PM me your email.
