Question VXR PRO oil question

Hey guys,
I have a 1994 Yamaha VXR PRO. I have an unopened bottle (1 Quart) of Valvoline TCW III oil that is for jet skis and dirt bikes and basically anything 2 stroke, this bottle is about 5 years old and never used. Is it ok to open this bottle up and put it in the oil tank for the VXR? Or should I toss it and get new Yamaha oil?

Let me know guys, I'm going to the lake in 2 days!

Thanks!

It's fine to use. Not my first choice, but any TCW III oil is acceptable if you are not harsh on your ski. Shelf life should be fine as well. I personally have been using Pennsoil marine semi-synthetic, and it's under $20 a gallon.
