Unhappy Please help me!?!

Hello,

I have never joined a forum before but I am in need of help about the cost on jet ski repairs. I rented 2 jet ski's this weekend for my birthday celebration, was extremely careful with it, parked it away from the shore, did not bump into each other, or crash into anything. When I returned the jet ski's, I noticed that there were (2) 1in damage to it.. not sure where it came from (in all honesty) but the owners said that it was from a big crash. AGAIN, we did NOT crash into anything.. is this possible?

Now, they're trying to charge us $760 for the repairs. It seems SO high for a damage so small? What do you think? Thank you so much for your opinion, knowledge, and time.

Blessings,

Need to know what it is and if it is truly fiberglass and not smc. Has it been worn off or just the paint peeled off ? If it's just the paint, I would just use a high build primer, block sand, epoxy sealer primer, then use a marine paint of your choice and call it a day.

its a 1997 kawasaki xi ss so a 20 year old machine just want to make it look ok not to bothered on how it looks was just a abit worried about water absorbing in but closer inspection the hull is still structurally sound

Smc is usually molded in a color like white and glass would have a pickish tint to it. Prob smc. The ss hulls are notorious for pealing the paint. All depends on how much work you want to put into fixing it. It sould be flipped, lightly sanded high fill primer block sanded epoxy sealer primer and painted.
