Replacing Traction Mat

Hi there, what's the best way to remove the traction mat on a jet ski? What removes the adhesive the best? Thanks, Tyler

It's an 01 Wave runner. It seems as if it's foam.

Try carefully using a heat gun on low or a hair dryer. Just enough to soften the glue, but not enough that the hull gets hot (that goes for the rest of the hull in the foot wells also). Residual hot air can get the sides. You can also get a rubber wheel for a drill off amazon designed to remove stickers and adhesive.
I believe the factory was rubber, so they might very well be aftermarket.

Are you saying apply heat after I pull up the old mat or apply the heat to the top of the mat while pulling it off?
