Just purchased first PWC ever, Fill My Head With Info

Throughout my life whether it be cars or mountain bikes forums have proved themselves to be vital tools in advice, so tonight I made my first PWC purchase. It is a 1995 WetJet Kraze with a Yamaha 701cc engine in it. It runs great, fires right up, has good acceleration, really no problems at all. As you guys can imagine I have 100's of questions, I want to do all the maintenance right. I have a lot of engine experience (vehicle wise) I've built my car and rebuilt a few engines in my life. The guy who I purchased from seemed like an honest guy. I checked for some things when I purchased the ski, there are no cracks, there is no discoloration on the engine, no corrosion or rust on the engine either. The guy did tell me the ski was sitting for six weeks, and while it does start and run perfect he said I should think about changing the plugs. So there is my first question, do I gap them and if so to what?

I also understand this is a 2 stroke engine do I have use certain oil or just any 2 stroke mix. What else should I check on the ski also?

He did say I have to drain the water out after every ride. How is this done? He said I start the ski and turn the bars side to side and do it again until all the water is gone. I would just like a run through.

I will also be posting pictures of the hull, I have some body work experience and want to know how to do this correctly as well. Thanks guys

My last question is I know it is only August but winter comes quick on the east coast, how do I go about winterizing this ski. It will be stored indoors but I want to know what I have to do. I would be really appreciative of any other info guys, thank you and I'm happy to be a PWC owner

So can I just fill the chips and pits with fiberglass sand it down and paint the hull with gel-coat? As far as the deck the crack looks like there has been some work done. I was planning on sanding that down and refilling it. I will be following the instructions on the Fiberglass Repair Post on this forum which is very helpful but I was wondering if there was anything else I should know specific to my PWC or its type of chip
