Replacement battery

I have a 2010 Yamaha vx deluxe
The stock battery looks to be 12 volts
20 amp hours. And between 250-300 cold cranking amps
To get a replacement could I just satisfy these specs
Or do I need to get an exact battery?

I'd just look it up by application. I'd also go with an AGM style battery. They hold up better to the jarring/vibration they take. I'd also use either deka or duracell. Same battery different label.

you need an ETX20 sized battery, ETX16's won't fit correctly and using anything else is simply foolish

AGM is the good choice and they will run you around $100. If possible go with a DEKA branded unit, duracell waranty and service is not as good in the US anyway

Autozone and Oriely also sell the DEKA battery under OEM label, service just as good when they are local to you
