99 gsx limited issues

Hey guys, just got a deal on a 1999 gsx limited for $2000 with only 42 original hrs on it. The fuel gauge isn’t working and the fuel lines are the grey ones, everything else is super clean and nice, hull has no scratches, tarp isn’t faded.
I need some help with the above issues. To do the fuel lines how much and what size do I need? I am doing the carbs at the same time, do I have to remove the pipe? Do these skis have a fuel filter to replace, or just the screens in the carb?
Where would I start my diagnostics for the fuel gauge? It is all digital.
I have also heard of water getting into the motor housing for the VTS. I am going to load all the electrical connectors with some dialectic grease, can I put a bead of silicon around the vts housing door to keep water out? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
