Hey guys, first post here. Mainly registered because some help pretty quick and this place seemed to get some good reviews from those I've asked about it.

I just bought my first jetski about 3 weeks ago, its a 1990 Waverunner LX 650 with roughly 60hrs on it, overall in great condition. When I first went and looked at it, it started right up and idled smoothly, everything worked well and I got it home for $600:). Got her home and did a bit of work, also hooked it up to the hose to clean it out, once again started instantly and ran fine. This week my family is headed up north to our lake cabin, pretty much why I got the ski. Yesterday I went and got a fresh tank of gas(mixed 50:1). But when I got home and was going give her a quick run just to double check everything, I dont get any spark.

It cranks fine, fuel is getting through the carb, but there's no spark whatsoever. Tried switching out the plugs and still nothing. I went back over everything, checked connections and whatnot but there's still no change. I've only got a few days left to get it going again. Am I headed for a new ignition coil? :dunno:

Thanks

While I'm at, whats a good way to test the coil pack, stator and CDI box? I dont have a repair manual and no time to order one now. I checked for continuity between the orange and blue wires on the coil and got a reading, but I'm not sure if that tells me anything here or not. Anybody???
