i have a square nose 650 and went to take it out this year and it was bogging really bad. put new plugs in it and put some newer gas in it and it ran fine the rest of the day. the next day took it out and it would idle and die when you hit the gas. both cylinders have 120+ compression and it was running great. i am starting to think i need to rebuild the carb because it has never been rebuilt and sat all winter with the same gas. we drained all the gas and put in new plugs and it starts and idles like a dram but once you hit the throttle it dies instantly. we pulled the plugs and they were brown which leads me to believe its running lean and maybe a jet is plugged or its just all gummed up? anyone have any ideas? thanks!
