I have been working on my ski for some time now, I bought a rebuilt engine from SBT, exhaust from Factory Pipe, intake from Hot Products and I have had to order tons of other misc. parts I lost when the ski was sitting around. Anyways I put the ski together and it seemed to run fine out of the water but, when we put it in the water it kept stalling out and running poorly. I took the carbs out and had them rebuilt assuming it was a carb issue. When I got them back I put them in and ran the ski out of the water again and it ran better than before but, as soon as I put it in the water it did the same thing. However, when the ski was half out of the water, impeller only being partially submerged it ran great. Could it still be the carbs or something else like the impeller etc. ?

I had the same thing with a 550 of mine. I ran the choke a quarter way on because I thought it was a carb issue as well. That made it a lot better, so you can try that, but it was timing and stator
