I have a 1997 montego deluxe with the new upgraded driveshaft kit (threaded to spline). The jet pump bearing is continually going out on me. What could be the cause for this? The first time I replaced it, it ran for a few hours, the second time it ran for probably an hour. My impeller definitely has a few battle scars. Does cavitation cause this? Or drive shaft out of alignment? Or the wear ring is messed up?

I'm thinking of starting by replacing the impeller. Will the impeller from a 1999 TSL 770 work? Or a Nu-Jet 6.0 NU1022? I found both of those on ebay.

I'll try to snag a few pics of my impeller later once I have enough posts to do so.

Cavitation wont, but drive shaft alignment can, as can cheap bearings and lack of lubrication.
Check Impros website. I believe they sell nujet impellers.
