Hello I am new to this forum,

I have recently bought a TigerShark listed as a bad starter, further found out that the bendix went bad to. It cranked and turned over out of water, but as soon as I put it in the water it wouldn’t go. Also found out water from the cooling system was leaking into the cylinders.

Took the spark plugs out and shot all the water out. After reading a few forums online it sounded to be a head gasket. I just replaced the head gasket today and now it’s refusing to turn over and run even out of water. I did try using starter fluid and it would turn over for maybe 5 seconds max. I haven’t found a post on this issue so I have decided to start one.

Also is it possible that the spark plugs could be fouled after attempting to crank for a pretty long time? And could there still be water in the engine?

Hoping to hear from someone soon.

Update: Ended up being water in the gas.. I think the seal between the gas cap and the gas insert is a goner...
