Hi,

First I am new so hello, I have a 1999 Yamaha XL 760, been a great machine, but this past summer it started over heating when it was held WOT for about 5 seconds, would go into "slow mode" if you turn it off and restart everything fine until you WOT again.

SO I have it at the dealer, they said it was the carb needed rebuilding????? So we did that, starts better but did not solve overheating. Now their saying its the "cat" in the exhaust, but are not sure????

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated?
