I have been offered a GTX Supercharged year 2004 with 176 hours, I want to check compression, what are good numbers for the age and hours? Anything model specific to watch for. Thanks for any advice.
Hey, my name is Bob I own three supercharged Sea Doos. One of which is a 2008 GTX 215. These engines are not real high compression. I would say anything over 140 lbs is good. Things that should of been serviced are the wear ring, supercharger thrust washers, battery (125.00), and cooling system. I would strongly recomend sea trialing the ski. Don't be fooled by a ski that runs on a trailer. Check the hull for damage as well as the impeller. The GTX is an excellent ski. Good luck:I have been offered a GTX Supercharged year 2004 with 176 hours, I want to check compression, what are good numbers for the age and hours? Anything model specific to watch for.
