Starter relay assembly. Check for loose wires at the relay first, since this is the most common problem. See #5 in this diagram: Xtreme Powersports' 2004 Yamaha PWC XA1200A XLT1200 3-PERSON Parts List If no loose wires you can try jumping the relay to see if it is bad and needs to be replaced.
