:appl:Want to look at a 2007 Seadoo RXP, this would be my first jetski. It has a supercharger, how much more work is it to take care of a jetski with one? What things do I need to lok at or for when checking it out?
At about 120 hours you may need to replace the wear ring. It is made of ceramic and is designed to fail if there is a bad restriction in the impeller so that the impeller won't be damaged, sort of a sacrificial lamb. As a result after many hours of wear it needs to be replaced,. You can feel it when you accelerate feels like a clutch slipping. Most skis use these. Thanks for the reply Outlaw. So then it's better to go with a supercharged ski as opposed to a turbo? I have been looking at this one and a Yamaha VX 110, just want to make sure there are no high cost as far as maintaining the supercharged ski as opposed to a non-supercharged ski. Is there anything you need to do at certain hour intervals to properly maintain it? Sorry for all the questions, never owned anything with a supercharger.
