Want to look at a 2007 Seadoo RXP, this would be my first jetski. It has a supercharger, how much more work is it to take care of a jetski with one? What things do I need to lok at or for when checking it out?
:appl:
Very good choice, the Seadoo RXP 215 is a very fast ski top end is 67-70 mph. I own three Seadoo skis all supercharged,1 with a high performance RIVA stage III kit. No problems with any of them.
The only thing you will need to due is upgrade the thrust washers in the supercharger for ceramic to stainless steel.
There is no extra work taking care of the supercharger VS. turbos which require constant maintenance.
It is also a closed loop cooling system which is much better around salt water.
Things to look out for are usally checked when you sea trial it. Check the impeller for dents or bends. Look in the engine compartment well, for signs of corrosion or submersion.
Check to see that all the gauges and trim work.
Check the condition of the battery, new ones are 129.00
IMO Seadoo makes the most dependable skis on the market. Along with the most features and quality.
I will leave you with this thought. I could buy any ski I wanted, but I haven't found one any better.:2thumbsup:
