I've had issues with this ski since I bought it new. When in rough water, rough enough to take water in your face, the ski fills up with water bad. I've checked out the engine and hull in calm water and everything's great. So I poured a bucket of water over the front and sure enough water gets into the hull. Investigating further, I found that the watertight storage box under the front hatch is free to bounce around instead of locking down onto its' gasket to seal out water. There are two latches just below the dash for the purpose of locking this unit down, but they only turn and do not lock. Thus, the box bounces up and down the whole trip, and in rough water the waves work their way down and under this box into the hull. I sent a video to SeaDoo, and they said to go see my nearest dealer. What a pain that would be. Has anyone come across this issue? I do a lot of long distance rough water riding so getting this fixed is a must. Lst ride on Lake Erie in 2-4 ft waves resulted in 6-8 inches of water in the hull. Not good. Im thinking its either a bad design or faulty latches?? A picture is attached and one of the latches is shown at bottom left of picture, just above the horizontal white line.

I would say there is a gasket issue. shows there is one under the storage bucket, and one between the bucket and lid. If the bucket does not have a drain hole in it, then the issue should be the hull to bucket seal, and a new seal might cure it. I have checked seals before by applying a this layer of grease to the seal, close and latch whatever it is, open it and look for traces of grease on the lid. It could be that one of the latches or bucket hinges has a crack in it that is not allowing it to keep tension.
You can use this to get part numbers, then look on ebay or amazon for the parts.
