I'd like to bypass the oil injector and move to pre-mix. I've googled and found a block off plate for sale that apparently blocks off the space where the oil pump is located.

I understand I should zip tie the oil tank sending unit float to the full position and to run 40:1 pre-mix.

Is there anything else involved with going to pre-mix?

Yeah, id actually leave the oil tank in just because the straps for the fuel tank wont be tight if you do remove it. And the block off plates are pretty easy make yourself if you want to have a go.

Are there common problems with the oil injection system failing?

After my ski blew up last week over an oiling issue, i cannot help but second guess it. I am pondering the thought of going pre mix as well. If so, what ratio is recommended? My dirt bike is ~36:1 - is that about right?
